Gale Construction's association with BMW and Talbot Construction scaled new heights with the construction of the biggest BMW dealership in the UK.
Utilising both Rainscreen and built-up sinusoidal cladding systems led to a set of interesting and often conflicting design challenges, as Design Engineer Paul Guyton explains; " The design principles underlying rainscreen cladding are almost the complete opposite to those of traditional built - up cladding systems. Creating an envelope out of the two, whilst maintaining the watertightness and integrity of the building led us to innovate several quite unique detailing solutions to deliver the project on budget and on time".
